Call to Holistic Nurses Volunteering for Haiti to Participate in
 a Holistic Nursing Documentary!

M. Mayling, is an RN, AHNA Network Leader for a special interest group in California: Holistic Nursing-Integrative Healthcare, Multi-Media & Education Network, who has volunteered to go to Haiti, and, if called, will be documenting the trip on film, as part of a documentary on Holistic Nursing.  To see more about Mayling, her work within AHNA, the documentary project, etc., click here.  If any holistic nurses volunteering for Haiti are interested in connecting, please contact Mayling at: Mayling@BrightestBlessingsCreations.com and put 'Haiti Volunteer' in the subject line. The volunteer efforts in Haiti will be a long process, covering many months, and many teams of nurses.  It would be a supportive effort to coordinate and connect with other holistic nurses who will be in Haiti at the same time, as well as provide an opportunity to document and communicate to others, the essence of holistic nursing, and how it can be integrated into any nursing role, to include disaster responses.

Don't just get on a plane and go. For your safety, it is important that you go through an established volunteer registry. The ANA has published some good FAQ's on their Web site for nurses interested in going to Haiti.
