Optional Activities at the 2013 Conference
A. Norfolk Walking Tour & Chocolate Tasting ($35 per person)

Enjoy an informative and leisurely walk through Norfolk's historic downtown and Freemason Area. Our walking adventure will take you past the Half Moone Cruise & Celebration Center, Nauticus, the National Maritime Center, the Battleship Wisconsin and the Lone Sailor Memorial Park. You will stroll down the charming cobblestone streets of the Freemason area, pass by beautiful historic churches and Taiwanese Pagoda, the downtown financial district, the historic Moses Myers House and old St. Paul's Church. Tour will conclude at MacArthur Center where you will experience a private chocolate tasting at Harry and David before having an opportunity to finish out the afternoon shopping and browsing in more than 150 specialty shops and department stores at the regions finest urban mall. Yummy Chocolate Goodness!!
B. Riding Norfolk City & Heritage Museum Tour ($50 per person)

A great way to get oriented to the area, enjoy a narrated riding tour through Norfolk's beautiful historic district and restored areas. Your tour guide will point out many attractions such as Nauticus - The National Maritime Center, the Battleship Wisconsin, the beautiful MacArthur Center featuring over 150 shops, restaurants and department stores, and the Moses Myers House. You will drive by old St. Paul's Church the Historic Ghent neighborhood and visit the Hermitage Foundation Museum, nestled on 12 beautifully landscaped acres alongside the picturesque Lafayette River
C. Edward Cayce's Interactive Experiential Tour ($50 per person)

The guided tour of the Edgar Cayce's A.R.E. - Association for Research and Enlightenment Visitor Center includes the history of the organization and its amazing founder Edgar Cayce, a visit to the A.R.E. library, one of the largest metaphysical libraries in the world which houses the transcripts of all 14,000+ readings that were preserved during Cayce's lifetime, and quiet time in our meditation room, overlooking the ocean. You'll hear a recording of Mr. Cayce giving a reading and see the couch he would use to go into a trance-like sleep state. You will have time for a customized workshop dedicated to the Experience of Meditation, Holistic Health and Healing OR Labyrinth Walk while browing the displays including holistic health, ancient Egypt, Dreams, and gemstones before ending the tour at our one-of-a-kind Bookstore and Gift Shop.
