B1 ECHO Global Farm Tour

The ECHO Global Farm is a "living classroom" in which development workers, and others working overseas can see simple farming techniques and technologies for use around the world. The ECHO team gathers solutions from around the world that are addressing hunger problems and disseminate them to their active network. These solutions promote sustainable farming techniques, nutritional plants, and appropriate technologies for the environment. 

ECHO’s Global Farm Tour is a fascinating guided, walking tour of the most creative working farm you have ever experienced. You will find demonstrations, plants, and techniques useful to farmers and urban gardeners in developing countries, as well as explore rain-forest habitats, stop at a simulated rural school and witness urban gardening techniques that allow gardens on rooftops. You will also see some simple technologies and visit their friendly farm animals.

Set in a department store, four women with seemingly nothing in common but a black lace bra on sale, come to find they have more to share than ever imagined. The cast makes fun of their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges. A sisterhood is created between these diverse women as they realize that menopause is no longer The Silent Passage, but a stage in every woman’s life that is perfectly normal!  This show is a Hilarious Celebration of Women and The Change!®

D1 Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary Tour

Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is a 13,000 acre preserve and is home to the largest remaining stand of old growth bald cypress in North America. Audubon’s Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is the gateway to the Western Everglades. Many resident species rely on the Everglades' freshwater wetlands that Audubon works so hard to protect. Along the boardwalk you will find a gentle, pristine wilderness that dates back more than 500 years. A 2.25 mile path meanders through pine flatwoods, wet prairie, around a marsh and finally into the largest old growth Bald Cypress forest in North America. Bring your camera as you will be assured that there are stunning photo opportunities available at every turn of the boardwalk trail.

Bring your floppy sun hat and hop on board and take this two hour tour to take in the sights and sounds of Florida’s estuary bays.  You will get a guided tour of the area with an opportunity to see local wildlife, including dolphins, ospreys, egrets and herons.  On part of this tour, you will stop at Lover’s Key State Park, rated one of Florida’s top natural beaches where you can comb the 2.5 miles of Florida sand for a variety of early morning shells left behind from the recent tide.
