Holistic Health Specialist
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is conducting a search for a Holistic Health Specialists to join their Child Life & Integrative Care Team!
The Holistic Health Specialist (HHS) applies knowledge and skills in holistic care for hospitalized infants, children, adolescents, and adult patients and families. Through collaboration with the inter-professional health care team, the HHS promotes the goal for optimal health and well-being. The HHS supports patients /families to increase coping and reduce pain, anxiety and distress associated with their health challenges and hospitalization. Our integrative care team provides outstanding family-centered pediatric, integrative care and is dedicated to evidence based clinical practice, education and research to expand the capability and knowledge of integrative health nationally and globally.
Ideal candidates will be a licensed health professional (RN, LMT, OT, PT, MSN ) with certification(s) in holistic care practices, an Associate’s Degree required in nursing or other health care field and 2 years of experience in holistic health care. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred. Pediatric experience and American Holistic Nurse Certification preferred.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Nurse Practitioner functions as a member of a team of Mental Health providers cultivating collaboration, enthusiasm, and mutual respect.
Minimum Requirements:Current Ohio RN license and Ohio Certificate of Authority as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Master's degree in nursing, clinical specialty major preferred. Valid certificate of authority as a CNS required Significant clinical nursing experience relevant to psycho/social practice.
Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in The State of Ohio. Certificate to Prescribe from the State of Ohio. Must be a graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for Psychiatric and Mental Health NP certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Masters degree in Nursing. Three years experience in clinical oncology setting or psychiatric and mental health preferred.
