Welcome! The American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) is a non-profit membership association for nurses and other holistic healthcare professionals, serving more than 4,500 members across the U.S.
AHNA is the definitive voice for holistic nursing, and promotes the education of nurses, other healthcare professionals, and the public in all aspects of holistic caring and healing. AHNA’s efforts recently resulted in the recognition of holistic nursing as an “official nursing specialty” by the American Nurses Association.
More than 151 local chapters across the U.S. and two internationally are actively engaging in news-worthy events and activities to promote AHNA and holistic nursing.
Our Public Relations Department can arrange interviews for you with key leaders and practitioners in the holistic nursing field and answer any questions you have about holistic nursing.

AHNA President-Elect, Carol Ann Drick, participated in a radio interview with LA Talk Radio show, Empowered, with host Jordan Goodman to celebrate new born babies-in recognition of March of Dimes activities. Understanding and creating that holistic presence in the home of families with newborns, infants and toddlers was the focus of her interview.
Renaissance Executive Forums recently published an article by AHNA President, Peggy Burkhardt, PhD, FNP, AHN-BC, titled "Holistic Healthcare: Caring for Yourself and Your Business". Read Peggy's article here.
