Employment: Present Position: Executive Lead, Healing and Clinical Coordination at Woodwinds Health Campus.

Other Activities: Serves on the President’s Advisory Committee for Inver Hills Community College;  Board Member for Well Within, a not for profit holistic service program;  Mount Olivet Church Council; HealthEast Parrish Nurse Advisory Board; member of University of Minnesota Zeta Chapter; and AHNA Network/Membership Coordinator.  In addition to that I am a Mom of a 16 year old son and 12 year old daughter so spend lots of time at sports, dance, and piano events!

Position Statement: The beginning of my holistic journey started on July 7, 1997.  That was the day I began my role as Executive Lead of Healing and Clinical Coordination.  I joined a two women team, Julie Schmidt, CEO (Compassionate Expectation Officer) and Cara Hull, Executive Lead of System and Process Integration to create and build Woodwinds Health Campus, a 86 bed hospital in Woodbury, Minnesota.  My own personal and professional transformation occurred through my living and breathing mind, body, and spirit as I led the design of our holistic patient and family centered care delivery model.  This holistic model was going to be delivered in a beautiful healing environment and supported by a culture of compassionate service.  After three years in design, we opened our hospital on August 3, 2000 and have just celebrated out 8th anniversary.
As an executive healer, committed to servant leadership, I know that holistic care must be the framework to provide exceptional care to both patients and staff.  I have seen the results in my own hospital and have spoken with nurses throughout the United States who are eager to learn more about holistic care.  I know that my own mission goes beyond Woodwinds.  I look forward to the possibility of this AHNA leadership role to continue to influence and support the evolution of holistic care.
