Position Statement: I believe it is paramount that AHNA provides its membership with the best possible leadership candidates for the Leadership Council not only for serving its own membership but also for AHNA’s impact on all of nursing and Healthcare.  
Within our membership we need to find these best possible leadership candidates and we can do so by further developing and improving AHNA’s methods for seeking these candidates. Each of the positions on the LC is unique and crucial for the growth and improvement of our organization. We can find these superior candidates within a milieu of communication about LC positions to our membership, within a milieu of educating our future leaders and the ongoing professionalization of AHNA’s executive leadership (Leadership Council and National Office). 
I believe that I am uniquely qualified to have a role on the AHNA’s Nomination Committee because of my leadership experience on national and state board of directors plus my recent “inside look” serving on AHNA’s Leadership Council as Co Financial Coordinator.
