AHNA Art Contest - Healing and Holism
Use your artwork to help support AHNA and holistic nursing.

Model Release for Photographs
Objective: To find beautiful depictions of healing and holism of which one or more will be chosen for AHNA's new greeting cards. The new greeting cards will be available for sale on the AHNA web site and at our annual conference to raise money for our organization.
Prize: Winner(s) will be given a complimentary one year membership to AHNA.*
Deadline for Submissions: February 15, 2010
This contest is open to everyone - AHNA members as well as non-members can participate. We are looking for artistic renderings of the theme "healing and holism." Watercolors, oil, acrylics, pastels, charcoal, pen & ink, photography and other artistic mediums are allowed. The art must be submitted in electronic form. Multiple entries are allowed.
Submission Guidelines:
1) Your submission should be an artistic representation of:
"Healing and Holism"
2) The art must be submitted in electronic form (i.e. digitally scanned original artwork or photograph. If your artistic medium is three dimensional such as clay or sculpture, please submit a photograph of your art.)
3) All files must be in JPEG or TIFF format
4) The file must be at least 8" high or wide at its shortest dimension at 300 pixels/inch (dpi).
5) Each file should be given a unique name. Title your file accordingly:
AHNA Art Contest_First and Last name_Title of Art.
6) You may enter as many pieces as you wish, but a separate entry form and artist release form is required for each entry.
Artist Release:
Even if your artwork is not chosen for the greeting cards, you will still have a chance for it to be featured in an upcoming issue of Beginnings, the AHNA annual calendar or in other AHNA publications.
By entering this contest and submitting artwork, the artist grants the American Holistic Nurses Association the unlimited right to reproduce the artwork in any and all of its publications, products for re-sale and/ or marketing materials (including but not limited to: greeting cards, yearly calendar, Beginnings, web site, etc.) in any form or medium, whether now known or hereafter developed, in all languages, for distribution throughout the world.

Alternate entry: Mail a CD containing a digital copy of your art with the paper copy Entry Form and Artist Release Forms (and Model Release Form if needed) to American Holistic Nurses Association, 323 N San Francisco St, Ste. 201, Flagstaff, AZ 86001, Attn: Art Contest.
The winner(s) will be selected by the AHNA national office. Selections will be made according to how well the artwork matches the theme "healing and holism".
