Geriatric Holistic Care Resource Center

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the AHNA Geriatric Holistic Care Resource Center. This resource has been created in order to prepare holistic nurses and other holistic healthcare professionals wth the knowledge and skills needed to care for older adults.

AHNA has partnered with the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing, at New York University's College of Nursing, in the Web Fellow project, which is part of the REASN (Resourcefully Enhancing Aging in Specialty Nursing) initiative.  REASN, a 4-year initiative, seeks a comprehensive response among nursing specialties to support evidence-based best practices in care of older adults in hospitals, home care and institutional long-term care settings.

We are pleased to have Carla Mariano RN, EdD, AHN-BC, FAAIM and a Geriatric Nursing Specialist support us in this endeavor to supply AHNA members with accurate information pertaining to holistic care of the older adult.
