Holistic practice is evident in Anna's daily life, but especially in the critical care setting. A peaceful and caring environment is very important for the sick patient and their family, thus she keeps her patients room clean and removes the extra machines, IV polls and pumps to give everyone in the room more breathing space. She uses music for the intubated/sedated patients, so it can provide a calm environment. Post-operative pain is a major issue with many of her patients after extubation, thus she offers the patient shoulder/back massage to relieve some of the pain that is caused by the long hours of a certain positioning in the Operating Room.
