A course designed to introduce the principles of nursing practice extended by anthroposophy. It includes a range of Anthropsophic Nursing topics that address the anthropsophic foundations of nursing assessment, diagnosis, interventions, healing impulses, and also focuses on personal and professional development.

The course is held in a one-week intensive, annually, for three years. During these years students are required to continue with self-study assignments and work with an experienced Anthroposophic Nurse mentor. At the conclusion of these three years nurses are eligible for certification as an Anthroposophic Nurse (AN) through the International Forum for Anthroposophic Nursing (IFAN). Successful completion of course criteria is required and nurses must be able to demonstrate their knowledge through written and practical evaluation. While only nurses are eligible for certification, caregivers and other health professionals are welcome to attend and will receive a certificate of completion when course requirements are met.
