I hope everyone is having a good summer!  
 
I am excited to announce our next Chapter meeting for July 14th at 6 CST!
 
Meet Elizabeth Scala, our new AHNA President!  The torch was passed from Barry Gallison at our first virtual Conference last week. I am looking forward to Elizabeth visiting our Chapter giving us an idea of what we can look forward to over the next year.  
 
Elizbeth's Bio:
 
Elizabeth Scala MSN/MBA, RN, HNB-BC is a board-certified holistic nurse, registered yoga instructor, and reiki master. Elizabeth received her dual master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. She is also a certified coach and Reiki Master Teacher. Elizabeth lives in Maryland with her supportive husband and playful pit bull. In addition to holistic nursing, she loves to garden, cook and bake, do puzzles and dance to her favorite jam band, moe.
 
It has been a challenging year and it appears we are experiencing a bit of normalcy in some parts of the country. May this a be a time to celebrate holistic nursing and the future ahead of us. Little did we know how much nurses were going to be needed in 2020 and moving forward; many of us and our colleagues were/are the frontline caring for those most deeply affected by Covid 19. 
 
I also want to get an idea of how many are comfortable with a face to face meeting sometime in the Fall?  Zoom is always available and we can  continue until we have a majority of people feeling more at east with in person gatherings.  No rush and no judgement.
