I have a passion for Holistic Nursing, knowledge and experience in leadership, education and organizational systems. I am grateful for my experiences and fortunate for the people I have encountered during 45 years of diverse nursing, corporate and non-healthcare work experiences. They were and are powerful teachers that provided insights about myself, relationships, leadership, organizations and what it means to be a compassionate and authentic leader. I am fortunate to now have the opportunity to share my learned wisdom in support of AHNA as it expands its voice as the “go to expert resource” of Holistic Nursing and an advocate for holistic care on a larger scale while continuing to provide a healing culture for its members.
Learning to integrate my knowledge of systems, energy and consciousness and aligning these ideas within healthcare organizations, allopathic medicine, businesses and education have been my life mission. I have worked with individuals, leaders, executives, boards and organizations. I was a founding member of three nonprofit service organizations during which they moved from fledgling, novice operational boards to mature boards of governance. I have served as chair and Co-Chair of the AHNA Practice Committee and presently Chair the new AHNA HEALTH Advocacy Committee.
AHNA has provided a healing culture and a structure that is positioned as the Voice of Holistic Nursing. In the journey to mature as an organization, I would be honored to bring a global perspective, curiosity, humor and a willingness to allow the mystery of what is possible as AHNA faces the challenges of growth while continuing to live its vision.
