AHNA Seacoast-Boston Collaborative Chapter presents April 2024 Meeting

Topic: Choose Hope Over Fear-An Introduction to " Radical Remission"


Presented by Robin Bavaro RN, HN-BC, HWNC-BC

Join Us at thriving cancer survivor, Robin Bavaro, Highlights 10 key Healing Factors that can help improve immune function, reduce side effects, and be used safely in conjunction with conventional medicine, based on research by Dr. Kelly A. Turner, author of Radical Remission and Radical Hope.

When Robin read Dr.Turner's books, She was amazed just how much all ten healing factors contributed to her own healing. Her greatest hope is that participants will consider these useful and relatable tools to empower patients, clients, and themselves to take charge of their own health whether confronted by cancer or other life-threatening diseases.

Robin Bavaro is a certified Radical Remission Coach, a board-certified Holistic Nurse and Health & Wellness Nurse Coach ,a former press secretary for the Mayor of Boston and Massachusetts Speaker of the House as well as a former Dana Farber Cancer Institute employee communications editor within Nursing & Patient Care Services. She also serves as an advisory board member, mentor, navigator & coach for the non-profit North of Boston Cancer Resource. Robin is passionate about whole Self-Care and forward healing.

AHNA - Racial Healing Circles XIII

Every other Friday, March-April 1:00-2:30pm EST
6.0 Contact Hours

 

Space is limited to 25 participants

Session 1: Friday, March 15 
Session 2: Friday, March 29
Session 3: Friday, April 12
Session 4: Friday, April 26

Overview: This program is a series of four racial healing circles sessions led by experienced racial healing circle facilitators. Participants will experience and explore issues, beliefs, and experiences around race in a racially diverse group. The major activities within the circle will be story sharing and deep listening. This non-judgmental group experience prepares community members to recognize and act with compassion in addressing racial injustice going forward.
Learning Outcomes: At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Describe how they have connected with their own beliefs of racism and racial equity based on their experience of the racial healing circles.
