The American Holistic Nurses Association has had National Accreditation as a Provider and Approver of Nursing CE since 1997

AHNA's Education Provider Committee and Education Approver Committee are accredited as a provider and approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) has recognized our quality continuing nursing education (CNE) offerings for over a decade by nationally accrediting us as a Provider and Approver of CNE.  AHNA chose to apply for accredited status back in 1996 and received status in 1997.   AHNA has continued to uphold our status by being dedicated to providing the best in continuing education and diligently following the standards of ANCC.  We take responsibility for our own continuous improvement of our educational offerings and are proud to have ANCC national accreditation.  AHNA is accredited through February 2019.

Our ANCC national accreditation status means...

  • Recognition by state licensing boards
  • Promotion of our commitment to high quality nursing practice
  • Industry respect for achieving a high standard of excellence
  • Indication of AHNA's willingness to have our educational programs and processes reviewed for adherence to rigorous national standards

In short, ANCC accreditation means that our continuing nursing education offerings have been recognized as high quality and worthy of public confidence!  It's an honor that reaffirms the hard work and dedication of our entire staff and our member volunteers and reinforces the core values by which we all live our lives and do our jobs every day.
